PMI Construction Professional (PMI-CP)™ is designed by Project Management Institute (PMI) to build and validate the knowledge, skills and experience of construction project professionals.
The program focuses on critical areas including scope and change management, contracts and risk, project communications and interface management.
It is designed not only for project managers but also for developers, consultants, contractors, engineers, architects, quantity surveyors, planners and other construction professionals.

01 — Construction Project Communications
Communication strategy and planning, stakeholder management, active listening, governance, Obeya, Commitment-Based Management, PMIS and evidence-based communication.
02 — Construction Scope and Change Order Management
Business objectives, scope definition, stakeholder alignment, scope evaluation, governance and effective change-order processes.
03 — Construction Contract and Risk Management
Contract life cycle, delivery methods, risk classification and prioritization, risk management frameworks, claims and dispute management.
04 — Construction Interface Management
Interface management in E&C projects, lifecycle interventions, design and management interfaces and effective interface coordination.
Successful completion of all four foundational courses is required to apply for the PMI-CP™ certification exam.
To apply for the PMI-CP™ certification exam, candidates must have:
